Admin Bans Freshman Greek Life
Thursday, 25 August 2011
by Giri Nathan
More than a year after President Tilghman intimated the possibility of an full-on Greek ban, a few months after the residential and social life working group released their much-discussed report, and with the images of vigorous student/administration debate fresh in our collective memories, the U. has finally announced a policy change. It’s a two-pronged ban:

So as we pass summer’s halfway point, most Princetonians are busy saving African villages, traipsing around Russia, exploring Zen Buddhism in Japan, selling their souls to JP Morgan, etc. The usual. But for those who are starting to feel homesick for good Ol’ Nassau, fret not! Over the next few weeks, The Ink will be

O, Lawnparties. For the Street-going masses, it’s been something of a marathon weekend, but provided you get to Sunday in one piece (and with liver intact), you’ll enjoy some solid tunes on Prospect Avenue. You’ve got your usual slew of heinous cover bands, but there are also few gems. Here are the acts to keep

Reminding You That Reunions Are Ever-Approaching
Monday, 25 April 2011

Like an atom bomb or the end of the world or the Macy’s Day Parade. Whether or not you knew it, Reunions (i.e. “the perennial Ivy League blowout kegger” referred to in a GQ exposé last year) are coming. Can’t you hear it — the pitter-patter of hundreds of alumni footsteps, canes and wheelchairs, the slurping from

by Lauren Zumbach
Go to the Princeton University homepage, and check out the video feature. Pinch yourself, and look again. No, that’s not a midterms week sleep deprivation-induced hallucination – the eating clubs really are front and center on Princeton’s homepage. The story accompanying the video says it’s meant to improve communication about the clubs and give prospective

After Fall semester’s pretty low profile concert scene, which concluded with that ill Ghostface Killah Edan Portnoy performance, many were left craving live tunage. And their cravings were probably … err … maybe satisfied given this month’s recent shedulings. That said, even if B.O.B.’s not coming back for round 2, the end of February and

Big Numbers for Colonial?
Saturday, 23 October 2010
by Giri Nathan
Things are looking up at Colonial Club. Despite last year’s low turnout — only 13 sophomores signed in first-round — the officers have high hopes for the class of 2013. Last Tuesday, the club organized a dinner for prospective sophomores, and they had the opposite problem: there were just too many! Anyone who RSVP’d late
