Getting To Know the Ice of the Tiger
Saturday, 16 April 2011
by Ellen Shakespear
As the prefrosh snake their way through the Activities Fair at Dillon to grab free goodies from rows of tables this week, we at The Ink have been spending some time thinking about some of the quirkier, less-visible clubs on campus. A little review of upcoming events on Point led us directly to “Ice of the
Hey Princeton! Mustache edition

Friday night’s annual student gala at the Princeton Art Museum, “This is Collage,” featured music, students dressed as famous artists, and large platters of Olives cookies. But one of the main draws to the well-attended event: a table kept well stocked with fake mustaches of various shapes. We asked some attendees to tell us the

Getting to Know the USG: First Annual Report
Thursday, 14 April 2011
by Lauren Zumbach
The USG published its first annual report Monday, giving us an inside look at what exactly our student government does with $166,172.50 each year. Many of the initiatives described were projects we already know and love – Lawnparties & Houseparties festivities, Garden Theater movies, and the like. But even more interesting was the chance to

Behold The Thesis Hermit

Whitman Library is a dimly-lit den of stress and dark wood. There’s a palpable tension in the air, the bleary-eyed malaise of people on their academic grind. Now, right in the thick of thesis season, both occupancy and tension are pretty high. And when it’s crunch time I guess you have to claim your territory.

IN PRINT: Dillon Goes Greek

I was one of those kids in elementary school. The ones that the librarian knew by name. The ones who won all the Accelerated Reader prizes. The ones that skipped out on recess for Redwall, Mrs. Frisby, Wayside School, Omri, Pippi Longstocking and Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. The best day of my 4th grade year was one
Let the turning in of theses begin!

Here’s some video we shot of the Class of 2011 Woody Woo seniors running into the fountain on Tuesday after turning in their senior theses. Enjoy, but keep in your thoughts those seniors who woke up at 7 am today to sit in the basement of Firestone or bike down to Icahn… who still have
I Might Have The Single Worst Possible Draw Time
Wednesday, 06 April 2011
by Giri Nathan
On Sunday, a gaggle of freshmen raided my room, hoping to scope out the quad they’d be living in next year. As I tour-guided them through my abode, I was struck by the fact that they already knew where they were going be living, because at that point I had no clue what day I

And it begins!

Yesterday, hundreds of seniors turned in their theses–and promptly went to Princeton Sports Bar. Check out these photos of the Woody Woo seniors splashing around in the Woody Woo fountain in (drunken) post-thesis glee! Video to come.

Princetonians Protest Something Other Than Hummus
Tuesday, 05 April 2011
by Lauren Zumbach
You might want to sit down for this: Princeton students were protesting in Frist today, and hummus was nowhere in sight. But don’t worry, we haven’t dropped our exclusively food-oriented take on social issues. Maybe there weren’t any chickpeas, bananas, or students masquerading as packed meat, but there was a giant ear of corn. The

To All the Doubters…

The lights were on at Cannon Club today, another sign this year’s revival attempt is the real deal. That or it’s haunted. Given the epic Cannon lore (see G. 3.), I’d say it’s a toss-up. Thanks to Mary Balzer ’13 for the photo.
Flashmob: Singing Alumni Edition
Friday, 01 April 2011
by Shirley Gao
File under Reason No. 654 I love this school: Impromptu arch sings! At around 11 p.m. last night, a group of distinguished looking men clustered in Blair Arch and began doling out classics like “Tigertone Blues,” “Danny Boy,” and “I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends.” They sang to no one, save
Let’s hope that’s not a thesis

It’s that time of year again! Seniors are growing meaner, and sadder, by the minute, as thesis deadlines loom. As always, Triangle Copy Center is ready to bind the product of your year of toiling away on the Firestone C-floor! (If you can get it in, that is.) Take a look: Oh wait, what’s that?
