IN PRINT: ‘Student Colony’ a Classroom Experiment in Living
Monday, 30 April 2012
by Shirley Gao
The orange and blue tent itself is not that unusual. Made of all-weather canvas and measuring 20 feet in diameter, its geodesic design makes it one of the strongest tents on the market. Scattered around the door flap are sandals and sneakers, assorted metal cooking utensils, tree branches and flannel shirts. The setup wouldn’t be

Thursday, 12 April 2012
by Shirley Gao

And what did they see? Initially, a dark room, with glow sticks covered by a mass of yellow and orange plastic. The

Wednesday, 04 April 2012
by Shirley Gao

Woody Woo Pool Party
Wednesday, 04 April 2012
by Shirley Gao
Today marked the annual Woody Woo Senior Post-Thesis Pow-Wow. At 4:30 pm, our favorite policy wonks jumped, slid, even tentatively tip-toed into the cold waters of the Fountain of Freedom (so aptly named, right?) After giving them massive bear hugs, we pulled aside a few giddy seniors for comment. Complete the sentence: Jumping into the fountain

Residential College Review: Mathey Edition
Friday, 26 August 2011
by Shirley Gao
With its gothic architecture and stately dining hall, Mathey (prounced ‘Maddie’) looks just like Hogwarts. That, and the fact that it boasts Blair Arch, the largest arch on campus and home to regular a capella concerts, means that Mathey is the most featured dorm in Princeton brochures. Mathey-ites also brag about their location right next
