class was complete waste of time. i am a senior and a good student and it was the worst class i have taken at princeton. first of all it was sociology. but even then it was watered down sociology. i bet we would have covered the entire sum of “sociological” material we learned in the course during two weeks of a real intro soc class. i love bruce springsteen. i think he represents the human condition and the american dream and american anxiety and all that. it could have been an awesome class. but it was like taking fine wine (springsteen) and turning it into kool-aid (the class) saturated with salt. i hate kool aid but i would rather drink kool aid than sit through this class again.

just saying this so you know you didn’t miss anything. oh yeah and everyone thought bruce was going to show up every week and there were hints from the professors/ta’s that any minute he would walk in the door. he did not.

I think this class will be really interesting. I wish the Soc department was offering it so it would make sense for me to take it!

Do you have any information from the course on Bruce Springsteen that you could share with me? I’m a fanatical fan and would love to know what the course covered. More importantly, did he visit the class??? Thanks.
