Julia Bumke ‘13 is from Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, and a graduate of Newark Academy and Juilliard Pre-College. She enjoys playing French horn in the Princeton University Orchestra, overanalyzing films, hanging out at Theatre Intime, and waiting with bated breath for Gail Collins’s latest New York Times column each Thursday and Saturday.
Vivienne Chen ’14 hails from Pleasanton, California (yes, she went from P-ton, CA to P-ton, NJ) and is a prospective English major with a Gender/Sexuality Studies certficate. She enjoys jet-setting, overpriced smoothies/fruit juices, and long walks on the beach (bring a tent). Her journalistic fashion icon is Anderson Cooper, for his “On the Frontline Chic.”
Spencer Gaffney ’12(Co-president) is from Newton, Massachusetts. A graduate of Milton Academy, Spencer is planning to major in English. He also catches, pitches, and plays corner outfield for club baseball.
Shirley Gao ’13 is from Davis, California. She is majoring in the Woodrow Wilson School and earning a certificate in Global Health. Named after Shirley Temple–the actress, not the drink–Shirley is interested in drug patents, criminal justice, Morgan Freeman, and nudist camps.
Miriam Geronimus ’12 is from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is interested in the environment, ecology and marine biology, and is an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major. In her free time she enjoys scuba diving and conversing in Yiddish.
Abby Greene ’13 is from Katonah, New York, where she attended John Jay High School. Abby is planning to major in either psychology or molecular biology with a neuroscience certificate. When not busy looking for a good story, Abby works as an education coordinator for Americorps’ and NJPIRG’s Energy Service Corps.
Woody Hines ‘12 is from Winnetka, Illinois. A graduate of New Trier High School, he now maintains a menswear blog called Prepidemic Magazine. He plans to major in Philosophy and earn a certificate in Neuroscience.
Giri Nathan ‘13(Editorial Director, The Ink) is from North Caldwell, New Jersey, and he doesn’t have a middle name. A graduate of Montclair Kimberley Academy, Giri hopes to pursue a major at Princeton. He enjoys cheap wordplay, tennis, David Foster Wallace, and David Foster Wallace writing about tennis.
Samantha Pergadia ’11(Vice-President emeritus) is an English major from St. Louis, Missouri. When she isn’t working as a stringer for The Princeton Packet, Samantha enjoys vegan cookies and George Eliot novels.
Will Saborio ‘11(Editorial Director emeritus, The Ink) is from New Orleans, Louisiana, and is majoring in the Woodrow Wilson School. He enjoys hip-hop, journalism, and politics and economics, although probably not all at once. Or maybe that could work, who knows.
Nathan Serota ‘14 is from Miami, Florida and a graduate of Ransom Everglades School. He fancies music, writing and getting really anxious about the environment.
Ellen Shakespear ‘13 is from Montclair, New Jersey. Ellen plans on majoring in architecture, and her interests include design, Bruce Springsteen, and museums.
Alice Su ‘13 spent her high school years in Shanghai, China, but has also lived in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and California. She’s a Wilson School major who enjoys singing and photography. If you bring her sushi, she will be your friend.
Sarah Vitali ’11 is from Yardley, Pennsylvania. She is majoring in the Slavic Department, and her interests include Pop-Tarts, YouTube, and Soviet kitsch.
David Walter ’11(President emeritus) is from Wilmington, Delaware. He’s a Woodrow Wilson School major. Hobbies include Mock Trial and reality television.
Angela Wu ’12(Co-president) is a Woodrow Wilson School major from Southern California. Her interests include the environment, fashion and food. Her guilty pleasures are mostly of the Internet meme variety.
Lauren Wyman ’14 thinks that one can never underestimate the healing power of dried mangoes. She is an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major from northern Ohio, and she enjoys hats, cute animal videos and Post-it Notes.
Lauren Zumbach ’13 is an Economics major from Hinsdale, Illinois. She enjoys photography, long runs with the cross country team, and following the latest Internet craze.
